Description

A solitary plains derrick towers above the arid and forlorn landscape. Without the need for internal-combustion engines, humans would have no use for this rugged terrain. Animals would regain their autonomy and authority. Driving through the foothills of eastern Colorado, or across certain parts of the Great Plains, these iron giants dominate the horizon. Instead of noticing the beautiful tall-grasses and distant peaks, we cannot divert our eyes from these scattered mechanical monstrosities.
