Description

A gray palette subdues the various greens and yellows on this prairie landscape. For those stuck under the thick oppressive early spring clouds, this rendering of a depressing gray day feels all too familiar. The viewer stands amid the muddy banks, gazing incoherently across the stagnant river waters. The personification of a grim emotion, the landscape exudes the feeling of stagnation and isolation felt during perennial cloud cover.
