Open Painting Studio I

For Those New to Painting

I offer this open painting studio as a self-directed group painting and art class. You are free to do your own thing whether oil painting, acrylic painting, or watercoloring. At the end of each studio class, we stop and spend time talking about each other’s artwork. This is valuable information to build and enhance your own artwork. Students love this for the sharing of ideas and learning time. Over the years I have determined what discussion topics are most relevant to improve your painting skills. You will get help with:

• Where to start with painting.
• Explore new techniques to help determine what works best for you and learn new ones.
• Color relationships, analyzing composition, and beginning theory.
• Learn how to see what your painting is telling you to feel free to follow that.
